HomeWing Assistant Alternative
Comparison

Looking for a Wing Assistant alternative?

An honest comparison from a smaller competitor. Their published prices, their published terms, and the three places people tell us the model breaks down. Read their contract before you sign ours.

The Short Version

If you are happy with Wing, stay with Wing.

They are a bigger company than us with a wider role catalog and a published rate card. People usually start looking elsewhere for one of three reasons, and all three are about what happens after the assistant starts.

You cannot see the hours

Their Workspace app lists tasks, chat, workflows and file sharing. It does not list time tracking or screenshots. If you are buying hours, you are taking those hours on trust.

You did not pick the person

Wing matches for you. The most common complaint in their public reviews is that clients cannot interview or choose their assistant before the first day.

The exit is not as soft as it looks

“Cancel anytime” sits alongside a 10 calendar day notice period, a non-refundable deposit, and a billing policy stating all charges are non-refundable.

Side by Side

The commercial terms, compared.

Everything in the Wing column is quoted or paraphrased from their own public pricing, billing and terms pages. Verified on Wing’s own pages, 28 July 2026. Their terms can change, so check them before you decide.

The Difference That Matters Most

Read the contract, not the homepage.

Wing sells supervision. Their terms of service disclaim it.

Their marketing describes assistants who are expertly supervised, with rigorous quality control. Their terms of service say something different, and this is quoted directly:

“Wing itself does not employ, engage, or manage these Assistants, nor does Wing supervise, direct, or control the performance of any Assistant’s duties.”

The assistants are employed by third party companies. That is a legitimate way to run a business, and plenty of agencies do it. But it is worth knowing which one you are buying, because it decides who is accountable when the work is wrong.

We employ and manage our people directly. When the work is not right, that is our problem to fix, and our QA team is the one that fixes it.

Being Fair

Where Wing is genuinely the better choice.

We are not the right answer for everyone, and pretending otherwise would waste your time and ours.

Stay with Wing if

  • You need a US based assistant. They sell one, we do not
  • You want to compare a published rate card before you talk to anyone
  • You need a niche role from a very deep catalog, they list far more than we do
  • You need a vendor with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 already claimed on the site
  • Your current assistant is working out. Do not fix what is not broken

Talk to us if

  • You want to interview the person before they start
  • You want tracked hours, activity and screenshots you can check
  • You want a refund path, not just a replacement
  • You want a managed phone team with a team lead and QA, not one assistant
  • You have been burned by an offshore hire and want the risk on the vendor
Switching

What moving actually involves.

Most of the work is handover, not paperwork. Plan about two weeks of overlap if you can.

1

Check your notice

Wing asks for 10 calendar days before your renewal date. Send that notice first, or you pay for another month you will not use.

2

Tell us the role

A 15 minute call. Bring whatever your current assistant does day to day. If there are SOPs, even better, but they are not required.

3

Meet the shortlist

We send a matched profile in 3 to 5 business days. You interview. If nobody fits, we go back and look again.

4

Overlap, then switch

Your new VA works alongside the outgoing one where possible so the context transfers. Most clients are fully moved inside two weeks.

Proof

Clients who will say it on camera.

We are smaller than Wing and our review count shows it. What we can offer is named people at named businesses rather than volume.

Questions

Before you switch.

Is Armasourcing cheaper than Wing Assistant?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. We quote per engagement rather than publishing a rate card, because a bookkeeper and a cold caller are not the same hire. What we will say is that our number includes the things that are extra or absent elsewhere: no deposit, no card processing fee, tracked hours, QA review, and a 110 day replacement window.

You will get a specific figure on the discovery call, not a range.

Can I really interview the assistant before committing?

Yes. We shortlist, you meet them, you decide. If none of them are right we go back and look again. This is the single most common reason people move to us from a matched-for-you service.

What happens if the person you place is not right either?

We replace them free inside the first 110 days under our 110-Day Perfect Hire Guarantee. No replacement fee, no new deposit, no restarting your terms. Separately, our 90-Day Impact or Refund covers the case where the work is not producing the results we agreed.

Do you have SOC 2 or ISO 27001?

No, and we are not going to imply otherwise. Our contact center teams are set up to work inside HIPAA, PCI DSS, TCPA, GLBA and FERPA programs, and every VA signs an NDA, but being compliance ready is not the same as holding a certification. If your procurement process requires an attestation today, we are not your vendor yet.

Are your assistants employees or contractors?

They work for us and we manage them: pay, performance, quality review, coaching and cover. You direct the work, we run the person. That is the main structural difference between us and a service whose terms place the assistants with third party companies.

How long does switching take?

Three to five business days to a matched profile, five to seven days to someone working. The longer pole is usually your own notice period with your current provider, so check that first.
